Obituary for Trudy Jenean Watson (Bulin)

Trudy Watson, 74, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on September 21, 2020.

She was born on April 13, 1946, in Teague, Texas, to Ellis and Esterlene Bulin. She graduated from LaVega High School in Bellmead in 1964. She then earned her Associates Degree from Hill Jr. College in 1966, after which she began working for American Income Life Insurance.

In 1969, her only child, Scott, was born. She was involved in his school and church activities, which greatly blessed them both. Not only was Trudy a devoted and attentive mother to him, but also to all of his friends. She would tell anyone who would listen that raising him was the best thing she had ever done.

Trudy moved to Houston in 1973, where she worked for Prudential Insurance Co. In 1978 she found a home in Missouri City and attended Townwood (later First Baptist Manvel) Church. She was extremely active in Sunday School and Choir, and often performed ensembles and solos for the congregation.

In 1984 Trudy went to work for Krieger Durable Medical Equipment where she worked until retirement in 2008. In 2004, she moved to Pasadena and began attending South Main Baptist Church. Five years later, Trudy was instrumental in bringing her soon-to-be daughter-in-law, Sarah, to accept Christ.

In 2017, after a period of health challenges, Trudy transitioned to The Waterford, an independent senior living facility in Deer Park. She was tremendously loved there, and greatly enjoyed her time with the residents and staff.

Trudy enjoyed spending time with her family, particularly at annual family reunions. She was an avid reader, cross-stitcher, and loved crossword and Sudoku puzzles. She will be remembered for her faith in Christ, fantastic sense of humor, lightning quick wit, and love of laughing.

Trudy is survived by:
