Eldorus Neil Scott
Eldorus Neil Scott was born October 24. 1927 in Geary, Oklahoma to Ronald and Etha Scott. He died on September 19, 2020 at the age of 92 in Humble, Texas.
Neil graduated from Geary High School and went on to continue his education at Oklahoma State University. His education was interrupted by the Korean War where he served in the Navy for two years. After he returned from the Navy, he married Donna Jean Stephens in 1949 and went on to finish his education at OSU graduating with a degree in Animal Husbandry in 1951. He also earned a Master’s Degree from the University of Nebraska.
Neil spent nine years teaching Vocational Agriculture in Nebraska and two years working for the Rain and Hail Insurance Bureau in Nebraska before going to work for Elanco Products Company, a division of Eli Lilly Pharmaceuticals. He during his 25 years at Elanco he worked in sales, sales training, and sales management. Upon retirement in December 1987 the couple returned to Oklahoma City to live for the next 22 years. In May of 2010 they made a move to Humble, Texas where he lived until his death.
Neil was proceeded in death by his parents, Ronald and Etha Scott, brother LeRoy Scott, sister Anna Brantley, son Stephen Scott, and great grandson Jonathan Shaddix. He is survived by his wife of 71 years Donna Jean Scott, sister Carolyn Baker and husband Truett, son Dennis Scott and wife Merrell, daughter in law Sally Scott. Grandchildren include Matthew Hines, Kathryn Shaddix, Leah Friday, Stephen Scott, and Emily Scott. Great grandchildren are Paige Shaddix, Abigail Friday, Tessa Friday, William Friday, Ava Collins, Bryson Jones, Austin Hines, Addison Hines, Orion Scott, and Atlas Scott.
