Many times, when people say, “an Angel among us,” it is literally taken for granted. In the case of the life of Diego Miguel Inda, he truly personified that role for his family and friends. He was a true Angel among us all. Born into this world at a disadvantage, his entire life was defined by strength and determination. Although he could not speak, he was a brilliant communicator. Although he could not walk, he moved around gracefully. He relied on his family to take care of his daily needs, and at the very same time, his family relied on him for spiritual guidance and tranquility. These are the true qualities of an Angel in our presence.
Born on the 9th of March, in the year 1999, he and his Mother, Marisol, carved a path together on their very own, giving each other comfort and happiness. Father, Jeff, came a few years later, blessed with the presence of a young man who would change his life forever. His younger twin sisters, Abbey and Bella, would join the family in 2006, and simply adored their big Brother. Like his Mother, Diego was a teacher too. His lessons were slightly different. Diego taught us about compassion and caring, as well as determination and resilience. And his most important life lesson for all of us, was fearlessness in the face of adversity. His lessons will carry on for eternity and be a reminder to all who knew and loved him.
Fly high Diego, our beautiful and gracious son. We know you are free of the earthly impediments that you endured as a mission from God. He called you back because you made your mark on all of us, and your mission was a success. We cannot wait to see you again.
