Jeffery Jerome Robinson
Jeffery Jerome Robinson was born on September 20, 1966 in Jackson, MS to Robert & Ada Robinson. At an early age, he accepted Christ as his personal Savior at Sweet Rest Church in Pearl, MS. Jeff was an all-around competitive athlete and enjoyed various sports throughout his youth. After graduating from Pearl High School in 1984, Jeff attended Southern Technical College where he received a diploma in Construction Drafting.
Jeff enlisted in the MS Air National Guard’s 172nd Airlift Wing in 1990. His first job was as an Airlift Wing Airman. Jeff held various positions throughout his military career. He retired from the TX Air National Guard as a Chief Master Sergeant with 28 yrs. of service in 2018.
Jeff married the love of his life, Carolyn Dalcour Taylor, in 2004. They shared 16 wonderful years of marriage. Their union caused a new family to emerge for 8 and 4-year-old Treavor and Tristen. They loved their “Pop” and he loved his amazing kids.
Jeff entered the steel industry as a Warehouse Operator and rose to become a Production/Processing Manager with Kloeckner Metals over a span of 27 years.
Jeff was a committed member of The Light of the World Christian Fellowship Church since 2007. He faithfully served in the following ministries: Usher, Marriage Ministry Leader, Men’s Group Leader, Safety Team Leader, and Life Group Leader. Jeff had a heart for encouraging and mentoring men in the Lord. Jeff was a “Kingdom Man” and his life reflected his faith in the Lord.
Jeff is preceded in death by his mother, Mrs. Ada Robinson. His memory lives on in his loving wife, Carolyn; son, Treavor (Karen); daughter, Tristen; grandson, Xailen aka “Lil Buddy”; father, Mr. Robert Robinson; brother, Willie Robinson; sister, Sherryl (Michael) Hayes; brother, Cedric (Tara) Robinson; brother, Lavaughn Robinson; sister, Shannon Stewart. In-laws: Alice Dalcour Stewart; Joseph (Phaye) Dalcour; Wilfred Dalcour, Willie (Angela) Dalcour, Michael (Trina) Dalcour, Ray Dalcour, Donna Dalcour Smith, David (Trina) Dalcour, Kevin (Paulette) Dalcour; 12 nephews, 12 nieces and a host of others who love him.
