Obituary for James Scott Cloberdants

James Scott Cloberdants, at just 49 years of age, went home to be with the Lord on June 30, 2020.

Scott was born on November 25, 1970 in Corpus Christi, TX to Jim and Bonnie Cloberdants, eldest son and middle child of three siblings. He resided in Rockport as a child, then later made his home in Huffman, TX, where he was a proud graduate of Huffman Hargrave High School, and created a good life for his family at Hewlett Packard Enterprises for over 25 years, ending as a dedicated manager of Global Systems. He served 3 years in the United States Marine Corps holding rank of Corporal. Scott was a proud husband to a cherished wife of 12 years, Christina Cates-Cloberdants, and loving father to three daughters and a step-son. He saw his eldest daughter marry, and became a doting pawpaw to three grandchildren.
Scott was full of incredible energy and a lofty example of love in action. Through his favorite vehicles of cooking and hosting alongside his wife, he encouraged and fed hundreds of people over the years in his home ranging from baby showers, to Super Bowl parties, to birthday and graduation celebrations, and Sunday after-church lunches. His outgoing personality, quick decision-making, and boisterous voice made him a force to be reckoned with, but everyone who knows him will forever remember his squinty smile and goofy laugh above all. Scott spent decades of his life serving on Little League boards, doing his part to create the best experience possible for his softball-loving daughters, and had a special place in his heart for the Challenger Game each year for Huffman’s special needs community. Scott loved fishing, hunting, shooting the breeze with his best buds, heckling with his grandkids, tending his peppers and tomatoes, was never late to anything, and had a slight obsession with getting a snowcone everywhere he went.

He was a Son, Father, Husband, Pawpaw, and Forever Friend and will be sorely missed.
