Obituary for
Preston David Fann
On Tuesday, June 23, 2020, Preston D. Fann of Huffman, TX loving husband, father, son, uncle and grandfather passed away at the age of 73 after battling a long illness.
Preston was born on January 18, 1947, in Westfield, TX to Marion R. and Jessie Mae (Hueter) Fann. On November 5, 1966, he was united in marriage to the love of his life Margaret L. Kominczak at Holy Name Catholic Church, they raised two daughters Tammy A. Kitchens & Tina M. Reed. He was a member of St. Phillips The Apostle Catholic Church in Huffman, TX.
He had a passion for Nascar & NHRA Drag Racing. He loved woodworking. And he couldn't wait till football season to begin. He was a truck driver for Yellow Freight Trucking Co. until his retirement and was also an auto mechanic. He loved working on vehicles, there wasn't anything he couldn't fix. He always participated when he could in all our family gatherings and reunions.
Preston is preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Henry M. Fann and Mark Fann, his nephews Henry Fann Jr., James Gallagher Jr. and Donald Dwayne Jr., his in-laws Henry and Mary Kominczak and his sister in-law Betty Kominczak Scalf.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret of 53 1/2 years, his two daughters Tammy and Tina of Huffman, TX, his bonus daughter Kerry Cryer and husband George of Gateville, TX, his five grandchildren Kiersten of Oklahoma, Lauren, Tori, Kenzie and Lynsie of Huffman, TX, his Godson Larry Kitchens of Humble, TX, his son in-laws Randy Bills and Leslie Reed of Huffman, TX, his sister Betty Gallagher and husband James of Cleveland, TX, his brothers Russell Fann and wife Vonna of Coldsprings, TX, James Fann and wife Sara of Alaska, and Rusty Fann of Louisiana, his sister in-laws Dorothy Cendalski and Rodney of Brenham, TX, Millie Reece and John of Pasadena, TX. And numerous nieces and nephews. And we cannot forget to mention, his faithful furry bestfriend Sweetie Pie Fann.
Pallbearers are Kevin Cendalski, Charles Jankowiak, Kenneth Kominczak, Larry Kitchens, Anthony Hodge and Cody Cryer.
Services are as follows: MASK MUST BE WORN TO ENTER THE FUNERAL HOME
