Obituary for
Alfred "Farmer" Vyoral
Alfred Vyoral was born on October 4, 1950 in Baytown, Texas and passed away on April 18, 2020 at the age of 69. He was known to many as “Farmer”, the name he used as his CB radio handle many years ago.
For more than 30 years, he worked as a telephone repair technician for Southwestern Bell. Soon after retiring, he took on a second career working for the Texas Department of Transportation. He retired for the second time in 2016. His nickname of “Farmer” suited him well as he had a tireless work ethic and was diligent about tackling problems.
He was a fun-loving man who enjoyed a variety of activities. Whether he was four-wheeling through trails, fishing, or just enjoying the peacefulness of nature, he was always happy outside. He also loved to explore new restaurants and visit the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. In his younger days, he also enjoyed going on trail rides and anything to do with rodeos. He never hesitated to lend a helping hand even if the project was a bit much. His kind and loving spirit was instantly recognized by those who spent time with him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank R. and Rosalie Vyoral; his brothers, Robert Vyoral and Raymond Vyoral; brothers-in-law, Ronny Langley, Marcy Hamilton and Vern Tallman; sisters-in-law, Joy Vyoral and Elizabeth Ann Vyoral; and mother-in law Eva Roccaforte.
He is survived by his wife, Cathy Vyoral; daughter Karla Zawodny; son-in-law Loren Zawodny; brother, Edward Vyoral; brothers-in-law, Randy Langley and Chris Roccaforte; sisters-in-law Judy Tallman, Darlene Vyoral, Richele Langley, and Pam Knight; father-in-law Pete Roccaforte, God Daughter, Mishaelle Vyoral, and numerous nieces and nephews.
We all loved him very much and will miss him dearly.
