Obituary for Richard Clinton Mobley II

Richard Clinton Mobley II
Richard "Rick" Clinton Mobley II, age 61 of Kingwood, Texas, was born in Little Rock, Arkansas December 30, 1958 and left this Earth on April 13, 2020. He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Clinton Mobley and his mother, Marilyn Cleone Mobley.

Rick earned his bachelor of science in landscape architecture and masters degree in urban planning. His hard work and dedication throughout his career earned him the respect of his colleagues and resulted in multiple transportation planning awards. He was passionate about serving the community and was active in several organizations such as homeowner associations, the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, the Knights of Columbus and many others. He was always generous with his time and his talents. And perhaps more than anything, he loved feeding his family and friends, spending time at his lakehouse, cooking barbeque, and was a proud Texas Aggie.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved dogs, Speed, Lady and Chip. He is survived by his wife Stacy, his children Ricky Mobley and his wife Colleen, Amber and her husband Andrew, Donny and his fiance' Julia, Dani and her husband David, and sisters Mary and Andrea. He also leaves behind 12 nieces and nephews and seven grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers and in acknowledgement of Rick's dedication to Texas A&M University, send donations to the Texas A&M Foundation, Landscape Architecture and Urban Planning in honor of Rick Mobley.

"It's so much darker when a light goes out than it would have been if it had never shown."
