Obituary for Betty Sue Mansell (Manuel)

Betty Sue Mansell (Manuel), 84, passed away from this earthly realm on Saturday, March 14th, 2020 in Houston, Texas. She was born on January 9th, 1936 in Greensboro, North Carolina to proud parents Limly “L.B.” Manuel and Irene Snow who both precede her in death. She was also preceded in death by: brother, Jimmy Manuel; son, Troy Mansell; great grandson, Andrew Wade and great granddaughter, Ella Claire.
Betty is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Bryan Mansell; sister-in-law, Shirley Manuel; brother Roger Manuel and wife Linda; sister Loree Hudson Lyles; oldest son Tommy and wife Lyssa; middle son Tim and wife Teresa; daughter-in-law Bobbe Mansell; three granddaughters, two grandsons, thirteen great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews along with a host of loving friends and other relatives.
Betty loved spending time with her family and enjoyed a lifetime of adventure. She loved hosting holiday gatherings, traveling and meeting up with friends in the motor home club, boating, fishing, and anything related to having fun. She surrounded herself with love and laughter and made everyone around her feel special.
Betty worked for Local Union 450 for a number of years until February 1st, 1993, then for Local Union 211 until April 1st, 1998. She was also a lifelong member of the Office and Professional Employees International Union.
A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 18th, 2020 at Rosewood Funeral Home, 2602 Old Humble Rd., Humble, Texas 77396. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 19th, 2020 at Rosewood Funeral Home Chapel with graveside services to follow at Rosewood Memorial Park.
