Obituary for Rosalia Menjivar DeLeon (Mennivar)

Rosalia Menjivar Deleon, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who was born in Chalatenango, El Salvador on January 6th, 1942, has gone to be with the Lord on March 14th, 2020.
Rosalia lived most of her life in El Salvador moving between cities growing up. Eventually, owning her own business and working hard in raising her beautiful eight children before coming to Texas after 58 years. Rosalia had many talents and hobbies. Of the many talents, Rosalia was known for her cooking. Rosalia’s famous pupusas, tamales, and chicken soup will all be hard to forget. Rosalia also had a beautiful voice and was renowned for her singing “himnos” or worship music. A devoted Christian, who not once would miss church, and would always take the opportunity to seek the things of the Lord. Rosalia was very passionate, caring to all, loving,
kind, and a selfless individual. She has left an everlasting mark on all of those who had encountered her with just a beautiful smile. A verse Rosalia lived by, Psalms 91, “I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.” Truly, Rosalia y nuestro “Chalia” will always be in our hearts and will forever be missed.
Rosalia Menjivar Deleon is survived by her husband, Salvador Deleon Valladares. Children Teresa Petrushansky and husband Alex, Carmen Manzur and husband Oscar, Victor Manuel Deleon and wife Angelica, Marina de Meléndez and husband Giovanni, Dina E. de Sibrian and husband Pedro, Magdalena de Martinez and husband Rafael, Marta A. Carcamo and husband Marvin, and Rosa E. West and husband Larry.
