Obituary for
Norman Leo Armstrong Jr.
Funeral services for Norman Leo Armstrong, Jr., 70, of New Caney, will be held at 2:00pm, Tuesday, March 10, 2020 at Rosewood Funeral Home North, 22271 Hwy 59N, Porter, Texas, with Pastor Hunt officiating. Interment will follow in Rosewood Memorial Park in Porter. Visitation will be held from 12:00-2:00 pm, Tuesday, prior to service time.
Norman was born on October 7, 1949 in Woodville, Texas to Norman Sr. and Dorothy (Daily) Armstrong. He was one of a kind. If you met Sonny you never forgot him. He loved Texas. He would definitely bring laughter to the room and found the humor in any situation. He was a story teller about his life travels. He loved his family more than anything. He was the shining star in all his grandchildren’s, lives.
He loved to read Mystery, Action and Adventure Novels and to Watch Movies. He enjoyed traveling. He loved to drive fast and he loved his cars. He took pride in his home and taking care of it. He found good in people who no one else would and helped them to develop the good in themselves. He helped people find jobs and helped them to excel in those jobs. He was a life changer to many sailors and rig workers.
He loved people and talking to people. He was an adventurous person who traveled around the world many times. He was a successful Business Owner for 30 years. He was married to Kim, the love of his life, his best friend on October 15, 1992. They traveled to many beautiful places together, raised a beautiful family, and overcame many challenges.
Survivors include his wife, Kimberly Armstrong; brother, Jack (Brenda) Armstrong; daughters, Summer Castillo, Amber Bateman, Sonja Broesche; sons, Jason Armstrong, Erik Brown; grandsons, Jeremiah Castillo, Hayden Lee, Robert Castillo; granddaughters, Abigayle Castillo, Aubrea Lee, Raine Wright, Neva Wright with numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and friends.
He is preceded in death by mother, Dorothy Daily; father, Norman Leo Armstrong Sr.; brother, Harry Armstrong; and son, Norman Leo Armstrong, III.
Mr. Armstrong will be escorted to his final resting place by pallbearers:
Jeremiah Castillo – Jack Armstrong Sr. - Jack Armstrong II – Robert Lee – Christian Brezik - Daniel Montes.
Services have been entrusted to Rosewood Funeral Home, North.
