Obituary for Daniela Anahi Barrios (Barrios)

Daniela Anahi Barrios (Barrios)
Daniela Anahi “Nessi, age 4, was born on December 16, 2015 in Houston, Texas to Karmina & Israel Barrios. She went home to be with Jesus on February 14, 2020 at Children’s Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston. In addition to her parents, Nessi is survived by her brother, Giovanni, sisters Alexa & Anabella, and many other family members. She is preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Raquel Lorenzi.

Nessi had a big impact on everyone she crossed paths with. From the day she was born, Nessi continued to prove that God works miracles by conquering milestones believed to be impossible by medical professionals. She was a great example of what it means for God’s light to shine through someone.

Nessi lived a very full and happy life. While she did have medical needs, she did not live in pain. She loved to smile, giggle, and play with her sisters. Her favorite animal was the giraffe and her favorite colors were pink and purple. Nessi also loved walks at the zoo. Like most children, Nessi loved to see her Papi come home after screaming for his attention so she could express the love she had for him. While Daniela’s heart was full of love, it is well known that her heart belonged to her Mami and she loved to sit with her hand on her Mami’s heart. She enjoyed spending time with her family, she had no problem showing them her sassy side and giving her nurses the cold shoulder.

Daniela will live on in our hearts and memories forever. She touched many lives and was loved deeply by those around her. We will cherish her as the brief gift that she was.
