Dorothy P. Chilton (Davis)
Dorothy P. Chilton was born in Houston, Texas on February 16, 1934. She entered Heaven’s gates on January 21, 2020.
A loving mother and homemaker, Dorothy was a remarkable cook and enjoyed preparing meals for her family and friends, most especially over the holidays. She especially enjoyed decorating her home and baking family recipes for her entire family every Christmas. It was her favorite time of year.
Dorothy was a dedicated Wife, Mother and Friend who had a lifelong relationship with her savior. A successful real estate broker who, later in life, taught real estate classes at North Harris County College, she endeavored to learn something new every day and pass along what she could to help younger generations. She had a talent for making every guest in her home feel welcome and a part of her family.
Dorothy was predeceased by her loving husband of 48 years, Bobby L. Chilton. She was also predeceased by her two brothers, Robert Davis and Bill Davis and her sister, Kathryn ‘Kitty’ Bell. Dorothy is survived by her daughters Rebecca Chilton and Ramona Chilton, her sons Ron Chilton and Robert Chilton. She is also survived by six grandchildren, Christopher Reickenbacker, Angela Chilton, Jennifer Matlock, Krystle Smith, Amanda Allen and Phillip Lewis. She had 9 great-grandchildren.
A public graveside funeral service celebrating her life will be held Monday, January 27, 2020, at 11:00 AM at Rosewood Cemetery, 2602 South Sam Houston Avenue, Humble, Tx 77396. In lieu of flowers please make memorial contributions to the American Heart Association.
