She then entered the Gifted & Talented program through Cleveland Metropolitan School District for her middle school years. During the summer months she participated in the Cleveland Music School Settlement Orchestra & Band Camp. Through the scholarship organization A Better Chance (ABC), founded in 1963, that has provided many students of color with the chance to attend college-prep private schools and public schools across the country. Andria received a scholarship and graduated (2004) from Western Reserve Academy, Hudson, Ohio. She attended Emory University and received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology (2008). She joined a social club Dooley’s Dolls at Oxford/Emory University. She then relocated to Houston, Texas and received her master’s in public health. Andria worked at Baylor Medical Center as a Senior Researcher working with children afflicted with cancer. She always wanted to be a nurse and had just applied to Lone Star College for their nursing program. She wanted to work with children like herself with chronic health issues.
Andria was engaged to be married (Eric Worrell) and was planning a destination wedding to be held in 2020. Eric and Andria did everything together. They were a happy couple and looking forward to their future together. Eric has been a dedicated and a loving soul mate up until her untimely passing.
Andria was diagnosed with Lupus at the age of 15. She experienced many trial and tribulations but preserved through it all with the support of her family and dear friends. Through God’s mercy and grace Andria had a fulfilling life despite her illness. We know Andria as a compassionate, loving, generous, happy, humorous, and “tell it like it is” friend. She was a beautiful young lady with a big beautiful smile. She will be truly missed by all. Rest well my beautiful Angel.
