Obituary for Charlie David "Dave" Andrus

C. David “Dave” Andrus, 67, of Porter, TX, passed away Tuesday, December 31, 2019, at a hospital in Kingwood, TX, after a brief illness.

Dave was born in El Dorado on Thanksgiving Day, November 27, 1952, to Fred G. and Verna Lee (Black) Andrus. He graduated from El Dorado High School with the class of 1970 and went on to study at Oklahoma State Institute of Technology. He had been employed by MTU America Inc., a Rolls-Royce Power Systems Company, for the past 29 years, most recently as Senior Regional Product Support Manager.
He married Linda Shifflett on October 2, 1981. In addition to his wife, other survivors include his sister, Linda Andrus Pendarvis (Jim) of Topeka, KS; his nephew Matt McClimans (Marissa) of Topeka, KS; two great-nieces and two great-nephews.

Per Dave’s wishes, he will be cremated. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 11, at Kingwood United Methodist Church, with private inurnment at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be directed to Kingwood United Methodist Church, Kairos Prison Ministry Polunsky Unit, 1799 Woodland Hills Drive, Kingwood, TX, in Dave’s name.
