Jack Allen Howard, 90, of LA Porte, TX passed Dec. 19, 2019 at CHI St. Luke’s Hospital in Pasadena, TX. A Memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, January 12, 2020 at Watters Road Church of Christ in Pasadena with Mr. Charles Davis officiating.

Jack was born March 19, 1929 in Malone, TX (Hill County) to Rufus Herbert “Bert” and Meda Hester (Muncy) Howard. He lived most of his early life near Penelope, TX and graduated from Penelope High School. Beyond High school, Jack attended Hill Junior College. He served in the United States Air Force from 1950-1953.

Jack married Bobbi Knight in Lancaster, South Carolina on May 18, 1952. For 67 years they made their home in the Pasadena, LA Porte area East of Houston. Jack was involved in numerous business ventures throughout his career which included an outdoor advertising business and numerous real estate investments.
Jack served in several service organizations and on numerous boards including his most recent role as an advisory director on the board of Texas Citizens Bank. He was also a member of the Pasadena Rotary Club for over 50 years. Jack and his wife Bobbi are members of the Watters Road Church of Christ.

He was preceded in death by his parents “Bert” and Meda Howard, and also by his four brothers
Billy, Gerald, James, Jink Howard and niece Sharon Howard.

Survivors include his wife Bobbi Knight Howard. His brother Rufus Howard of Hillsboro, TX, and the following nieces and nephews: Charles and Peggy Plyler of South Carolina. Johnny and Barbara Morton of Monroe, NC, Kay Moore of Pageland, SC, Eugene and Patricia Howard Loving of Kennard, TX, Karen Howard Layne of Wortham, TX, Rick and Kathy Huddleston of San Antonio, TX, Mike and Nancy Howard Wilson of Mexia, TX, Alan Keith Howard and Christine of Dawson, TX, Dana Howard and Roseanne of Mexia, TX, David and Rhonda Howard of Hubbard, TX, Wayne and Ana Howard of Dripping Springs, TX, Garry and Sandy Howard of Athens, TX, Tommy Howard of Pflugerville, TX, and Randall Howard of Hubbard, TX along with other extended family members and friends. Jack is also survived by business partner and long-time friend Nolan Allen, his wife Lauren, and their three daughters, Allie Rae, Paige, and Lily.
