Cheryl Lynn Vela, 61, passed peacefully in her home with her family by her side and went to be with our Heavenly Father on November 18, 2019 in Splendora, Texas. She precedes her father, Walter Clarence Wyrick. She leaves to mourn her loss, her loving husband of 26 years, Harvey Vela, her mother, Charlotte Martha Wyrick, daughter, Jennifer Lynnette Callihan and her husband Mark, son, Jonathan Ryan Vela and significant other Micah Borders, brother, Robert Wyrick and significant other Tammy Riggs, sisters; Martha Clair Lynch and husband Bud, Marilyn Jeanette Middleton and husband Lee Rupke, grandchildren; Sarah and Kevin Callihan, nieces and nephews; Jason and Mark Lynch, Joseph Middleton and Justin and Jamie Drumming.
Cheryl was born on November 10, 1958 in Houston, Texas to Charlotte and Walter Wyrick. She attended Aldine High School. She had a very successful career working many years in the medical field. Cheryl began working for Memorial Hermann in The Woodlands in the case management department where she was enjoyed 15 years of her career. She was highly valued in her department and since being sick, has been told that she has been irreplaceable.
Please join us in celebrating her life on Wednesday, November 20, 2019, at 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Rosewood Funeral Home at 22271 Hwy. 59 N. at Community Dr., Porter, TX 77365 and funeral will begin on Thursday, November 21, 2019, at 12:00 pm.
