Obituary for Carole Lynn Deinum (Bulmer)

Carole Lynn Deinum (Bulmer)
Carole Lynn Deinum, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, October 26, 2019. She was surrounded by her loving family in her final moments of her time here on earth. Carole was the youngest of two children born in Paterson, NJ, to Erma Mae (Smith) and George Frederick Bulmer. She was born on September 27, 1942, and was the adorable baby sister to her brother, George Robert (Bob) Bulmer.

Carole accepted Christ as her personal Savior at a young age and served Him faithfully, never failing to show His love to others.

Carole graduated from Eastside High School in 1960. A few years later, she met Charles Henry Deinum, the love of her life. Carole and Chuck wed on April 15, 1967 at Madison Avenue Baptist Church in Paterson, New Jersey. In 1979, when Carole was 35, she suffered a stroke that led to paralysis on her right side and lingering debilitation. Within a few weeks, they decided to pack up their belongings and their three young children, and move to Houston, Texas, knowing the Medical Center would give her the care she required. Once in Houston, God miraculously healed Carole of all side-effects, and she was eager to share this testimony with many.

Since making lifelong friendships at Second Baptist Church in Jacinto City, where they were led to worship, Chuck and Carole considered the Houston Area their home for the last 40 years. Together, they established a successful transportation business, which allowed them to support local and global ministries sharing the Good News of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. They exemplified a life where Christ was the center of both home and business.

Carole was a devoted wife to her husband, Chuck, of 52 years and an amazing mother and homeschool teacher to her three children, Cheryl Lynn (Kevin) Riggle, Charles Scott (Jodie) Deinum, and Candace Leigh (Kevin) Griffin. She also was the proud grandmother to seven: Collin Scott, Cameron Glen, Carter Blake, Caleb Reese, KinLeigh Grace, Reagan Faith, and Chloe Beth, who knew her as “Grammy” or “Mimi.” She lived her life to please the Lord, taking opportunities to show JESUS to her family, friends, ministries and to those around her.

Carole will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her husband, three children and their spouses, seven grandchildren, brother, as well as many nieces and nephews and extended family members. Her family was her passion and her favorite pastime was being able to travel with her husband and spend time with family and friends. She loved passionately, gave freely, and she served willingly.

Carole, “Well done thy good and faithful servant.” Matt 25:23
