Obituary for
Ivan Howard Click
Ivan Howard Click came into this world already a big guy! He was born on January 5, 1941 in Okemah, Oklahoma with a birth weight of 10 pounds and 1 ounce! His giant beautiful soul left this world on September 26, 2019 in Tomball, Texas.
Ivan was the last baby born into the Click family which consisted of mother, Aileen French who was only 23 years old and father, Arnold Click 27 years old. He had older siblings that included a brother, Marvin Click and sister, Hattie Louise Click. Ivan grew up on a farm in Okemah, Oklahoma being a very athletic young man and overdosed on handsome! Through Junior High and High School, Ivan excelled in track, he also played football and basketball. He also joined the band at Okemah Junior High where he excelled the Tuba. After High School graduation in 1959 he joined the National Guard. Ivan worked many jobs to fulfill his goal in furthering his education and accomplished just that when he graduated from Texas Tech University as a CPA. Ivan's love for numbers proved to be right when we discovered boxes of everything that was ever bought, the receipts were saved.
Ivan had a very good life. He met a lady who would become his wife, her name is Elizabeth A. Martin. Ivan became a husband, a dad and a grandfather all in one day. We are all very fortunate to have had Ivan in our lives. He left us all to soon. Even as big as Ivan was in personality and love, he was defenseless against the diagnosis of dementia. No one prepares a family for the things that slowly happen in ones brain. As much as our selfishness wanted to keep him here, he is in heaven with his Mama, Daddy and Marvin. As a family, we will miss him dearly,.As a community, we have lost a true friend.
He is survived by his loving wife and best friend, Elizabeth Martin; sister, Hallie Louise Calmes and niece, Click Travao; three step-daughters, Libby LeBlanc Carlton and husband Robbie, Linda Martin Murphy, Robin D. Rizzetto and husband Rob; step-grandchildren, Bobby Rizzetto and future wife Gretchen, Bryan A. Murphy, Martin Rizzetto and wife Saraya, Ashley NIcole Murphy; great-granddaughter, Rhea Denise Rizzetto.
