Condolences

Condolence From: Carolyn Reames Class #40
Condolence: I met Harvey in 1966 when he & his partner Ed Reames came to the Auto Theft Division to get the current list of stolen vehicles so they could keep an eye out for them when on duty. Ed & Harvey were best friends & partners for a long time. Ed encouraged Harvey to pursue his love of cooking when he retired. After Ed was forced to retire due to his health he continued to visit Harvey to sample his cooking and swap stories. All our children loved listening to the two of them telling their stories because the partners had a gift of gab. We all miss the times we spent with Harvey. We missed seeing Valerie in the office, Tracy in the kitchen, Mary in the restaurant and hearing Harvey laugh. Our prayers are with all of you and the family.

Condolence From: Michelle Reames
Condolence: My condolences to Harvey's family. He was a great friend to my father, Ed Reames. I know they were partners during some of their time with HPD. Daddy was class #26. I would hear them tell stories about the "good old days" when they were together. My family has good memories. We had my brother Randy's birthday party at the restaurant March 17,2002. Harvey took Daddy and my family for a ride on one of his fire trucks. I have a family picture on my desk at work which includes Harvey from that day. Good Memories! I know they are in heaven together.

Condolence From: Mary A Galindo
Condolence: My condolences on the loss of your father. I have known Harvey since high school. He was best friends and best man of my cousin, Joseph Lasala.. I remember Harvey always being around our family gatherings. And after I married my husband who also was a Houston Police Officer your dad would be around catering a number of the events we attended with the Retiree association.
May God's blessings and peace fill your hearts at this time. And may he rest in peace..

Condolence: Our police class 34 liked Harvey when we first met him after starting our path as police officers. He was a fine man and will be remembered for his excellent BBQ. Our class had our 50th reunion at Humble Inn and we will remember the food and fellowship. Ive told a lot of people that Harvey tought me how to BBQ but kept it a secret how to win. Thanks for the memories of over fifty years and may he rest in peace

Condolence: Tracy & Valerie -

So sorry to hear of Harvey’s passing. Its been a long time since those days at SVDP, and I still have fond memories of your dad growing up. He was an inspiration to me and helped in my joining the Houston Police Department. I valued the advice he gave as I started my career there and as My career progressed. I pray that you and your family has peace in this difficult time. All the best to you both and your mom.
