Barbara Kathryn Nason Selph, age 81, passed away on Friday, September 27th, 2019 of natural causes. She was born in Mississippi on November 12th, 1937 to William Horace Nason and Mary Parker Nason. She was the youngest daughter out of seven along with one boy who died at birth. She had 3 children by Allen Leon Stokes; Sherlon Allen Stokes who died in November 2018, still living are Deborah Kay Stokes Pope and Timothy Neal Stokes. She married Walton Selph in June 1968 and lived the remainder of her years with him in Conroe, Texas.

She is survived by her husband, Walton Selph, one sister, Edna Ann Nason Brown, her daughter, Deborah Pope, her son, Timothy Stokes. Her grandchildren, Jon Okley Pope IV, Jennifer Nicole Pope Brannon, William Alexander Stokes, Isabella Meghan Stokes, Sofie Gabrielle Stokes and her first great grandchild, Piper Dylan Perez, born only a few weeks before her death. She is also survived by her many other nieces, nephews, and cousins in both Texas and Mississippi.

She had many jobs through the years but her favorite job was being a Mother, Grandmother, Aunt, Cousin and Friend. She loved spending time with her family and friends. She especially loved learning about her Ancestors.

The most memorable thing about her was her infectious laugh. She could find the funny in almost anything.

Funeral arrangements will be held at 2pm on Saturday October 5th, 2019 at Rosewood Funeral Home in Humble. There will also be a viewing from 5 to 8pm on Friday October 4th, 2019 at Rosewood Funeral Home in Humble.
