A.D. Rigmaiden Sr.
Mr. Dee, as mostly everyone called him, I know would want me to thank everyone here in attendance today for being here. Also he really appreciated all of you who came over to visit him during his stay at Oakmont Nursing Facility. He would also like to thank the staff at the Westward Rehabilitation Facility in Nacadoches Tx. For the fine care he received during his 3 yr. stay with them.
A.D. Rigmaiden Sr was born on October 2, 1939 in West Lake La. To Emmit and Enda Rigmaiden. He was 1 of 5 children. He was married to Floyezella “Sally” Rigmaiden. They were married on February 3, 1986. They were still married until the untimely death of Sally on Jan. 12, 2019. Mr. Dee had three Children. Renee Edna Rigmaiden of Aurora Colorado (born ), A.D. Rigmaiden jr. (born 1970) and his wife Futerra L. Rigmaiden of Houston Texas, and Andre Desean Rigmaiden and his wife Miya of San Diego Ca. (born 1983) . His Grand Children are , Dawneca Beckworth , Addleton Rigmaiden and his wife Jasmine, Aeron Rigmaiden and Aliyah Rigmaiden. His Great Grand Children are DeMaree Goens and Daijuad Beckworth. His children through marriage were Milton Eric Singleton, Jeffery Ramone Singleton, Eric Johnson and Tramane Johnson. But there were a host of others the he would say were his sons and daughters. He truly loved and was loved by many, many people. A.D. was an amazing big brother and always commanded respect and kept his family together even at his life's end he let his siblings know how much he loved them. At a very young age A.D. set out on the adventure of a lifetime. He joined the army at 16 years old. His sons J.R. and Sean followed in their dad's footsteps and join the armed forces they were both in the Navy. A.D. determined to find his own way left, Houston River on foot and journeyed all the way to Beaumont Texas. He then made his way to Houston and worked with Leon Tanner in Refrigeration and A/C. He then made his way to Denver Colorado. Houston beckoned and he returned in around 1965 or 1966 to his dream as a mechanic under the tutelage of Fred “Andy” Anderson. It was soon obvious to all that he would be a Master Mechanic with his amazing skills and algorithms his talents would project him to East Texas Dragway in Porter Texas. He passed his gift and talents on to his namesake son and grandson. A D lived his life in the quarter mile and you started a Drag Racing Club of his own with fellow drag racing enthusiasts some present and some no longer here, in which he racked up many points trophies and much notoriety. His no-nonsense approach to life and his leadership ability really made him a name and his community his motto was hard work virtue and good work ethics. These were Staples and the fabric of his life he even recognized that learning the 23rd psalm was essential as he had his eldest son practice this at bedtime. Mr. Dee passed away on September 23, 2019 at 8:36am. We all love you Mr. Dee! The D was definitely for DAD!
