Condolence: I worked with Virgina for the last 17 years. All though we worked for different companies there was the greatest respect between us. We worked as a team knowing either one of us would do anything to help the other in making a guest happy. She had the highest integrity and all ways was there to make sure the guests were happy. I have many stories of our time together. Have missed her the last two years and will miss her forever. Loved her dearly. JH

Condolence: Miss Layton was right up in the Top 3 favorite teachers at Fonville Jr High. She was sweet, fun and always pleasant to talk to. When we happened to see her at the Astrodome, it was a huge deal!!! We loved seeing her dressed up in that rocket outfit as one of the first ushers for the Astrodome! With her slim figure, she looked so cute! She was genuine, fair and kind, everything you want in a teacher. Heaven just got a worthy angel...prayers for her loved ones back here till they meet again!

Condolence: I have known and worked with Virginia for over 10 years. When I hired on to Csc she was the first person I met and was so nice I didn’t know where to go and she patiently walked and talked with me until we got to where I needed to be. Virginia had such a way to talk to people and calm them down and work things out I have seen her do this many of times. She knew I worked in education and we had plenty of talks about education and everything else. She would come to each and every one of us and talked with us as a person and not Just a person to fill a spot. She respected us and I knew she cared about her team. At Christmas she would give us a little extra cash out of her on pocket. She didn’t have to do that. I still think I will see her coming around the corner at NRG Stadium. She will surely be missed but she will always be in my heart.

Condolence: Virginia was my supervisor at the Astrodome and Reliant/NRG stadium for 18 years. The first time I met her was working a college bowl game in the Astrodome in December 2000. My first night there. I worked on her team that night and have worked for her ever since until her retirement in March, 2018. . We went through the opening of Reliant/NRG stadium, 2 Super Bowls, NCAA Men's sweet 16 and final 4 basketball games, Texans seasons, Rodeos, college football games and on and on. She was a great person and a great supervisor. We used to joke about graduating from our UT's. Virginia from University of Texas and me from the University of Tennessee. She loved it when the Longhorns would come to play. I will really miss her. Susan McPhillips
