DAVID KEITH SCHOPPA

Born: February 20, 1957 in Dallas, Texas.
Died: July 5, 2019 in Tomball, Texas.

David was 62+ years old at the time of death. He was raised in North Texas in Wilbarger, County. His childhood years were spent in Vernon, Harrell, Electra and Wichita Falls, Texas. His family moved to Houston in his High School years where he graduated from MacArthur High School in Aldine ISD in 1975.

He married Lisa Meador, of Humble, in 1977 and had 3 children together. They were married for 33 years but stayed friends for a lifetime.

David is survived by his children :
David Zayne Christian Schoppa of Humble.
Zachary Joe Keith Schoppa of Humble.
Lisa Blaire Elizabeth Schoppa of Louisville, Kentucky.

David also had 1 granddaughter, Ahava Lisa Schoppa Bowman of Louisville, Kentucky, whom he loved dearly and she was the joy of his heart.

He is also survived by his brother, Dennis Schoppa; brother & sister-in-law, Darrell & Lisa Schoppa; his sister Kimberly Lucas and numerous other Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces & Nephews, as well as many friends.

David was a talented musician. He wrote many songs and dreamed of publishing them one day. He was an accomplished Guitarist and Fiddle Player, but also played numerous other stringed instruments. He spent a lifetime perfecting his skills and music was his favorite past time. If you knew David, you have heard him play and sing! He also had a love of photography and drew and painted beautiful works of art. He worked for years as an Electrician and Communications Technician, but it was his music that he wanted to pursue as his life’s work.

He was preceded in death by his Mother, Ethel Jane Moerbe; his Father, Herbert William Christian Schoppa and his older brother, Kelly Anthony Schoppa, as well as an unborn baby daughter named Dallas. David was a tender-hearted man who loved his 2 pugs, Miss Magoo and Lola, as well as his cat, Sunkissed.

We are thankful for the friends and relatives that have called and checked in or visited David after he was incapacitated by a debilitating stroke in November 2017. And we are most grateful now because we know his pain and suffering are over and he is at peace with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. The family also wishes to thank Max Kidd for leading David’s Memorial Service whose has been David’s best friend since High School.
