Debra Darlene Nicol
March 30, 1960 – July 5, 2019

On July 5, 2019, Debra Darlene (Chance) Nicol went to be with her Heavenly Father. She peacefully
passed away in her sleep after battling numerous health issues over the years. Her family is comforted
knowing that Debra is no longer in pain or suffering and is joyously celebrating her eternal life in heaven.
She was born on March 30, 1960, in Honolulu, Hawaii, the first child to Melvin and Margie (Paul)
Chance. She married her high school sweetheart, Herman E. Nicol, on June 11, 1977. She spent her life
as a faithful wife and loving mother. Debra was preceded in death by her mother, Margie. She was
survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Herman, her loving children William and MaryBeth Nicol,
and Alicia Nicol, as well as her beloved grandchildren Seth, Skylar, and Luke. She is also survived by her
father, Melvin, her sisters Rachell Montgomery, Melanie and Robert Hawkins, and brother Jason and
Tasha Chance. She is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and numerous
other extended family and friends.
Debra will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.

I will shed the sins and struggles

I have carried all these years and I’ll leave my heart wide open.

I will love and have no fear.
