River Joseph Russell entered his heavenly home on Wed, June 26, 2019, in the presence of his loving family. He was kind, genuine, smart, goofy, and so very loved.

River was born on January 18, 2000, in Webster, Texas, and moved to Atascocita at the age of 7. He graduated from Atascocita High School in 2018 and thereafter moved to League City to make his own way. He was proud to work to have his own place and his own car, and he had just begun making plans for his future. He was taken before his time, but we will celebrate the wonderful 19 years he shared with us.

River was always ready for an adventure. He loved going to the beach, riding his skateboard, music, movies, working out, good food, and good conversation. He was a great son, grandson, nephew, and an amazing brother to his 6 siblings. He selflessly went out of his way to do things for those he cared about, and these random acts of kindness will most certainly be his legacy. River was a registered donor, and in a final act of kindness, he saved several lives through organ donation. He was a good kid with a huge heart of gold.

He is survived by his mother and step father, Natali and Tanner Ray; father and step mother, Joseph and Paige Russell; six siblings, Lilly, Noah and Amber Ray, and Evelyn, Holley, and Joshua Russell; grandparents, Carmen and Glenn Chauviere, Lonny and Cindy Meadors, Jackie and Gail Ray, James and Debbie Jennings, Scott and Bernadette Gernander; and his uncles, Blake Meadors and Thomas and Trevor Jennings; and many other relatives and a host of loving friends.

River you are deeply loved, and you will be greatly missed by many.

In Lieu of flowers, please perform one random act of kindness in River's honor and share on his tribute page.
