Life Story for Natalie May LaRive (Martin)

Natalie May LaRive was born on March 20, 1933, in Biloxi, Mississippi to Rousseau Martin and Annette Blanchard Martin.

Natalie was always busy, primarily raising six children, all of whom became good citizens of their community. She worked for many years as a line server at both Wyatt’s and Luby’s cafeterias, the last for 10 years.

She loved Jesus Christ and was a born-again Christian. She volunteered at the church, helping with the care of the needy. Natalie also loved gardening, needlepoint, quilting, canning, fishing, crabbing and cooking, winning 1st Place for her gumbo and deer chili.

Natalie’s favorite sayings:

“Give me my flowers while I am living.”

“Always put a little away everyday – you will need it in
the future.”
