Obituary for Addison Neil Allen

Addison Neil Allen, 20, of Atascocita, Texas earned her angel wings on May 31, 2019. She was born on March 17, 1999 to her adoring parents Gary Dean and Christa Allen. She is survived by loving brother, Macon Allen and grandparents Larry and Paula Purcell of Atascocita, Texas, Peggy Allen of Homer, Louisiana, and Barbara Epperson of Friendswood, Texas. Aunts and Uncles include Teresa and Bill Hay, Tammy and Greg Soignier, Tiffani and Henry Reeve, Jed and Lacie Purcell, Zach and Taylor Ann Purcell, and much extended family and many, many friends.
Addison graduated from Atascocita HS in 2017, where she played volleyball, and participated in National Honor Society and National Charity League. She attended both Stephen F. Austin University and Lonestar College and earned her Associate’s Degree. She was accepted to Texas State University this fall to pursue her teaching degree for Special Education. She loved all animals and worked full time at Atascazoo Animal Hospital helping her furry friends.
In her short 20 years, Addison had many adventures and experiences. She participated in youth soccer, girls’ softball, dancing and tumbling (short-lived), swim team, Girl Scouts, orchestra, elementary school choir, volleyball, basketball, track, coaching youth volleyball, lifeguarding, babysitting, pet sitting, event planning, fostering dogs, volunteering in our community and much more. She saw the world, in her travels to Mexico, Jamaica, Cayman Islands, Bahamas, Costa Rica, Cabo, Hawaii, and to Disney World 5 times! She soaked up life in 20 years what most people don’t experience in a full lifetime. Fearless and Bold!
Visitation will be Friday, June 7, from 5:00 – 8:00 at Rosewood Funeral Home in Atascocita. Services for Addison will be held at Second Baptist Church North – Kingwood on Saturday, June 8th at 10:00am and a lunch following for guests. A graveside service is planned at Rosewood Cemetery in Humble after lunch.
In lieu of flowers or gifts, Addison would prefer memorial donations to Houston SPCA (where she adopted her adorable doggy, Harper) and/or the JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation), or the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, all near and dear to her.
