Obituary for Francisco Soto Castillo

Francisco Soto Castillo
Humble, TX – Francisco Castillo, 68, ascended into heaven on Wednesday, May 29, 2019 after battling with cancer. Born and raised in Mexico, the son of Vicente and Esther Castillo, he made Humble his home two decades ago.

In his early years, Mr. Castillo showed academic excellence and aptitude for sports. After graduating from high school in 1969, he attended the Technology Institute of Madero City where he was a star of the basketball team, and he went on to graduate in 1975 with a bachelor's degree in Industrial Chemical Engineering. He met his wife, Lourdes P. Castillo, while in college and they were married in 1981 at Tampico Cathedral.

Mr. Castillo and wife moved to Mexico City in 1981 where he joined the business started by his older brother, Vicente. In 1997, he moved with his wife and children (Francisco, Julieta and Lourdes) to Texas and had the opportunity to join Vetco Gray, now BHGE, where he was a loyal employee for almost 20 years. He not only took pride in his work, but truly relished the friends he made during his time there.

Mr. Castillo had a passion for all sciences making him an avid reader and learner. He enjoyed looking at the stars and the moon. Now surrounded by them, we know he has figured out the mysteries of the universe.

A funeral service will be held Monday, June 3rd at 2:00pm at Rosewood Funeral Home in Atascocita.
