Obituary for Arthur James Halliday

Arthur James Halliday, age 75, passed away peacefully in his home in Humble, Texas, on Saturday, April 6, 2019.
Arthur is survived by his loving wife of almost 50 years, Joan, and his children Jonathon Halliday, Martha Halliday, Catherine Davila and her husband, Mario Davila. He also leaves behind two grandsons, Addison Gault and Aidan Gault.
Arthur grew up in New York, the only son of Samuel Arthur Halliday and Mary Cecelia Halliday. He graduated from Eastern Michigan University in 1961 with a B.S. in History and became a History teacher. He later pursued his Master’s in Education, graduating from Eastern Michigan University in 1974.
Arthur served in the Army and was a veteran of the Vietnam war and a decorated officer.
After leaving the military, he continued his passion for teaching in the private sector as the training manager for several Houston oil & gas and petrochemical companies before retiring in 2009.
Arthur maintained his love of history, story-telling and jokes throughout his life.

Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial service on Friday, April 12th at 11:00 AM. The service will be held at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church,527 S. Houston Ave, Humble, TX 77338
