Sam Cobb of Huffman, TX passed away at the age of 59 on March 29, 2019 after a long battle with Scleroderma.
A service will be held at Rosewood Funeral Home located in Humble on April 3rd at 2:00pm with viewing to begin at 1pm.
Sam was born to Lorraine and Merrill Cobb on August 18, 1959. Sam grew up in Huffman where he graduated Hargrave High School in 1977. Sam was an avid golfer while in high school and won a state golf championship. Sam was introduced to Sue in 1979 by a mutual friend and married in 1983 and remained in Huffman where they raised two daughters and spent 36 wonderful, blessed years of marriage together. Sam was employed at Coca-Cola as the Parts Clerk and recently celebrated his 25th anniversary with the company. Sam had a passion for playing golf, fishing, and watching the Astros. Sam and Sue traveled several times a year to the Texas hill country and always on their anniversary. This was their special place of solitude and relaxation.
Sam is preceded in death by his mother, Lorraine. Sam is survived by his spouse: Sue Cobb, daughters: Amanda Cobb and Ashley Cobb, granddaughter: Aubrey Siarski, sisters: Sandy Aaron and Sari Cobb, father: Merrill Cobb. Sam also has a large extended family of beloved nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Sam’s name to the Scleroderma Research Foundation or American Heart Association.
