Gerald (Jerry) Wayne Sobecky, 68, of Houston, Texas, passed March the 2nd, 2019. Jerry was born to Margaret and Andrew Sobecky, March the 30th, 1950 in Johnstown, Pennsylvania. He graduated from Johnstown High School in 1968, before moving to Houston,Texas in 1976 and met Mitzi Bradford. Jerry and Mitzi married in May, 1978 and celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary in 2018. Together they raised two children, Andrew and Emily.

He leaves as his legacy two children: Andrew Sobecky (Katrina Sobecky) and Emily Davis (Josh Davis). He also leaves to cherish his memory his five grandchildren: Evelyn Margaret, Ethan Andrew, Eliana Marie, Jace Daniel, and most recently Liam Gerald; his two siblings, Diane Clites and Denise Cameron.

He was preceded in death by his sister Delores Wymer and parents Margaret and Andrew Sobecky.

Jerry was a truck driver for 35 years until retiring in 2010. Jerry was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather and will be deeply missed by his loved ones.

A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Sunday, March 10, 2019 at Rosewood Funeral Home Humble. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, March 11, 2019 at Rosewood Funeral Home Chapel Humble. Interment will follow at Rosewood Memorial Park, Humble,Texas. The family will not be hosting a reception following the ceremony.
