Obituary for Randall Kenneth Shaw

Randall Kenneth Shaw
On February 7, 2019, Randall Kenneth Shaw passed away at Houston Hospice quietly after a 7 week courageous battle with brain cancer in the spinal cord. He was shown a tremendous amount of love and support by his loving wife, sweet daughters, family, friends and a tremendous staff at Houston Methodist Hospital.
Randy was born January 20, 1971 to Harold and Mildred Shaw in Houston, Texas. He attended Pasadena ISD schools and graduated from South Houston High School in 1989. He received an Associate of Science, Bachelors of Science and a Doctorate of Chiropractic. After graduating Randy was an associate Dr. with Key Chiropractic, owned and operated Shaw Chiropractic Rehab and ended his career as a Health and Safety Trainer with Cintas.
Randy married Julie Meyer on April 24, 1993. Randy and Julie were blessed with two beautiful daughters Mykenzie Grace, age 17 and Carlie Faith, age 11. Randy’s girls were the light of his life and the bond they shared was very special.
Randy is survived by his wife and daughters; parents Harold and Millie Shaw of Pearland; sister Susan Degner of Houston; brother Mike and wife Lisa Shaw of Webster; sister Carrie and husband Gary Gothard of Pearland; mother-in-law Gay Meyer of Deer Park; sister and brother-in-law Cindy and Jerry Mittasch of Houston; brother and sister-in-law David and Barbara Meyer of Tomball; and sister-in-law Lori Meyer of Deer Park. Randy loved his nieces and nephews: Ashley Meyer, Hannah Degner, Chelsie Degner, Madison Degner, Nathan Shaw, Jeremy Shaw, Elijah Gothard and Elise Gothard.
Visitation for Randy will take place at Rosewood Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 12 5-7 p.m.
A celebration of Randy’s life will take place on Wednesday, February 13 at Gateway Community Church at 10 a.m. with burial following the service at Grandview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to House of Prayer Lutheran Church Memorial Fund or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in memory of Randy.

Julie and the girls wish to thank all the family and friends for all the love and support that has been given. It has truly been overwhelming and such a blessing during these dark days.
Well Done Good and Faithful Servant. #Team Randy
