Lucille and Roland Gregoire were blessed with their second child, Michael Lee Brown, on November 10, 1945. His older brother, Frank, was happy to have a sibling. Michael was born in San Francisco, California, and moved to Baton Rouge, Louisiana. From there, the growing family moved to Los Angeles, California where Michael attended Jordan High School.
Michael had various jobs during his lifetime. He worked at Saint Francis Hospital as a kitchen supervisor, and had a thirty-one year career with General Motors Corporation.
The job he loved most, however, was serving proudly as a United States Marine from 1967 to l969. OORAH!
Michael had another passion—the Oakland Raiders. He was a do or die RAIDERS NATION fan. It was his lifetime passion, and anyone who knew him, knew of his love of the Raiders. He was a lover of all things SILVER and BLACK. JUST WIN BABY!
The untimely and tragic accident let us know, once again, that life is fragile, and we must live every day as if it is our last. We really never know the day or the hour.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Lucille and Roland Gregoire, his brother Robert Brown, and his first grandchild, Daniel Floyd.
Michael leaves to celebrate his life: His loving wife of 39 years, Charlotte Brown; Siblings: Frank Brown (Jannie), Bernadette Jenkins, (Roland), Ronald Brown (Donna/Cookie), Mary Brown Shallowhorn (Robert), and Oscar Brown (Carla ); Children: Jason Hill, Jeanne Hill-Smith (Floyd), La Vonda Brown Floyd, and Michael Brown Jr. (Janice ); Grandchildren: Dawnielle Floyd, Donnell Floyd, Jaelen Miller, Cory Brown, Jazmin Miller, Deon Brown, Dominique Hill, Mia Brown, Jaeanna Hill, Mya Smith, and Leah Smith, and one great grandson, Keedon Brown. He also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, and friends, and special family.
May our husband, brother, father, grandfather great grandfather, and friend, rest in eternal peace.
