Obituary for
Charles Adrian Watson
Charles Watson was lifted up to the Lord on Sunday Morning, November 4th 2018, after a blessed 79 years. He was surely greeted with open arms by his mother and father Carl and Lillie Watson. His in-laws Ellis and Marie Goodnight and Brother in-law Don Goodnight.
He left behind his Loving wife of 59 years, Gale Watson, a testament to true Love. Three Children, nine grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.
Thomas & Elia Watson, children: Jessica Watson, Bianca and Will Gann, Jesiah Watson, Kelley and Fidencio Diaz and their children Rylie, Bailey, and Harlee.
Cathy & Jim Josey, children: Julie and Robert Ince, Bonnie Josey, Christy Josey and her children Brock and Bryce.
Scott & Melinda Watson, children: Rebekka Watson and McKenzie Watson.
His sister Shirley Schumann. Brother and sister in-law Robby and Doris Goodnight.
Charles can be described in one word….. STRONG.
Strong in his Faith. A Deacon in his church, heading up the building of two fellowship halls at Churches where he lived in the Trinity area, and a Master Mason at the Masonic Lodge in LaPorte.
Strong in Love. Family was everything to him and he was everything to us. Never failing to let us know how much he loves us and always there to lift us up.
Strong in Dedication. To his family, his church, his work. No matter what it was he gave 100%. He was a man of few words but full of great action.
Charles struggled with dementia for the past 7 years. It has been a terrible rollercoaster ride for himself and his family. Through it all he continued to remain STRONG. His love so strong he never forgot his wife Gale and was able to show her that love until he left us. He has left us with beautiful memories and an appreciation for every moment life gives you.
As I struggle to find the words, I ponder what is the purpose in naming the family. As it was clear to me, if you knew Charles, you knew a part of everyone who left before him and everyone he has left behind. He was a wonderful man. He was all things anyone could hope to be, Faithful, Loving, Loved, Honest, Dependable, Compassionate, Hardworking, Independent, and Confident to name a few. In our eyes he could do anything. Though not one of us is perfect, he was close as any man can be.
We Love you, and will miss you greatly!
