Obituary for
Amy Eskelund (Borchert)
Mrs. Amy (Borchert) Eskelund passed away peacefully Monday, October 1, 2018, in Kingwood, Texas. Amy was born in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. She attended The University of Wisconsin, Madison and soon after discovered her life’s passion for working with special needs children. After moving to Texas, she married her husband, Chris, and had three lovely children. She became a stay at home mom and devoted every minute available to her children. After they reached school age, Amy became very involved in her children's school and worked as a substitute teacher. She loved seeing the kids' faces each day, being greeted with high fives and hugs every time she turned around.
In addition to teaching, Amy loved the beach, being outdoors and attending horse shows; watching her daughters compete with their horses. She also enjoyed watching her son play golf, his favorite sport. For relaxation, Amy enjoyed gardening and growing fruits and vegetables in the backyard. She could cook meals that would rival some of the best chefs in the country.
Amy is survived by her husband, Chris Eskelund; her children, Hailee Eskelund, Skyler Eskelund, Max Eskelund and stepson, Tate Eskelund and many other relatives and dear friends. Amy is preceded in death by her mom, Joan Mary Hearn, and dad, Richard Forrest Hearn. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.
