Rebecca Elizabeth Waltz Adolph Elsensohn went to her heavenly home on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at the age of 98 years old in Pasadena, TX. She was born June 19, 1919 to the late John P. Waltz and Catherine Ettienne in New Orleans, LA and a long-time member of First English Lutheran Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband Claude J. Adolph; second husband, Virgil R. Elsensohn; son, Claude J Adolph Jr.; stepsons Larry Elsensohn (wife Sylvia) and Virgil R. Elsensohn Jr., (wife Peggy). She was also preceded in death by three brothers and four sisters.
She is survived by daughters Fay L. Elsenshon (husband Ronald), Judy A. Reilly (husband Michael), daughter-in-law Margaret P. Adolph. She is survived by grandchildren Daniel Adolph (wife Claudia), Jeff Adolph (wife Melinda), Melvin Adolph (wife Angie), Cindy A. Lewis (husband Lionel), C.J. Adolph III, Ron Elsensohn (wife Sheila), Sivi E. Miller (husband Michael), Doug Elsensohn (wife Lisa), Shane Reilly (wife Wendy Kay) and Wendy E. Reilly, Larry Elsensohn Jr. (wife Wendy), Mark Elsensohn (wife Carmen), Keith Elsensohn (wife Melinda), and Brian Elsensohn (wife Jennifer). She is survived by 28 great-grandchildren and nine great-great grandchildren.
Rebecca loved God and going to church and bible study at Zion Lutheran Church in Pasadena, TX. She had a smile that would warm your heart and wit that would light up a room with laughter. We will miss her so much, but we know that she’s at peace in heaven with her Lord, Jesus Christ and her family. The family will gather at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home and Cemeteries www.lakelawnmetairie.com on April 3, 2018 from noon-2 p.m.; Rebecca’s service will immediately follow in the Chapel.
