Obituary for Charlie O'Brien

Charlie O'Brien
Charles Robert O’Brien Sr. 60, passed away peacefully on December 24, 2017. Charles, better known as Charlie, was born in Houston Texas on July 26, 1957. He is one of six to the late Robert J. O’Brien and June M. O’Brien. He worked as one of the top machinist at Humble Machine Works for 20 years. Not only was he a hard worker, but he was also a great coworker and friend. He would always take care of everyone else around him. ASTROS ARE WORLD SERIES CHAMPS!! Anyone who knew Charlie knew how much he loved his Astros. In 1965, Charlie and his grandfather attended the first ever Astros game in the Astrodome and finally in 2017 he got to see his beloved team win their first ever World Series title. Along with his love for baseball he was an avid reader of western novels, a fisherman and a hunter. He enjoyed his fishing trips with his son and the weekends at the deer lease. Charlie was a family man with a big heart and lived the simple life, but he lived that simple life to the fullest. He leaves behind his loving wife of 35 years, Janie Tullos O’Brien; a son, C.J O’Brien and wife Mandy; two Grandsons’, Hunter O’Brien and Beau O’Brien; sisters, Marian and husband Marc Endrich, and Ginny O’Brien; brothe,r Stan O’Brien and many loving nieces and nephews.
