Montie Irene Lanius (Dalton)
Montie Irene Lanius passed from this life into the presence of God on November 24, 2018 at 8:10 a.m. at Bayshore Medical Center in Pasadena, Texas surrounded by her loving family. She was born on December 19, 1950 in Long Beach, California. As a child, she enjoyed doing Japanese Bunka needle point with her mother and joyfully passed the tradition on to her daughters. Montie married the love of her life, Earl Lanius and dreamed of a career in cosmetology and practiced tirelessly on their five daughters. She enjoyed preparing comfort foods for her family and teaching them how to cook. She was loved greatly by her husband, daughters, grandchildren, and friends. She was a loving mother and took the most pride in being a Mawmaw to her 16 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren for the past 26 years.
She is survived by her brothers Melvin McNeil and James Dalton, husband Earl Lanius, her daughters Tammy Dutton, Buffie Johnson (husband Dan Johnson), Cristy Brooks, and Andrea Tidwell (husband Paul Tidwell), son-in-law Kevin Bonnett, her grandchildren Aaron Bonnett, Kaitlyn Ross, Garrett Dutton, Jeremy Bonnett (wife Sarah), Andrew Yardley, Reagan Brooks, Kyle Johnson, Amy Brooks, Hunter Dutton, Halie Johnson, Lexie Tidwell, Lauren Johnson, Solyn Tidwell, Reese Brooks, Warren Peace-Dutton and Jake Johnson, her great grandchildren Peyton Pleasant and Greyson Pleasant, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Evelyn and Jim Emmitt, and her daughter Denice Bonnett.
The family will receive visitors beginning at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 28th and the memorial service will begin at 6:00 p.m. in the Chapel at Rosewood Funeral home in Pasadena, Texas. Family and friends are welcome to continue fellowship following the service at the home of Buffie and Dan Johnson.
