Obituary for
Dorothy Jean DuBose (Crow)
Dorothy Jean Crow DuBose, 85, went to be with her Lord peacefully at her home in Humble, Texas on Monday, November 19, 2018. She was born April 5, 1933 to Griffith Wallace Crow and Ida Bell Hodges Crow in Smackover, Arkansas. She married David Edward DuBose on January 17, 1955 and his death preceded hers by only three weeks. She is survived by her three children, David “Crockett” Edward DuBose, Jr., Darla DuBose Janik, and Carla DuBose LeBlanc, their respective spouses, Tamara Connor DuBose and John Janik, as well as seven grandchildren, their spouses, and five great-children with another joining our family soon.
Dorothy loved Jesus and faithfully attended church throughout her life. She also loved her family intensely and was always there to lend a helping hand, cook a warm meal, or offer a listening ear. Gardening, cooking, reading, and spending time with her family were her favorite pastimes. She was lovingly referred to as Mimi by her family and Aunt Dot by a host of nieces and nephews. She was one of the kindest people that you could ever meet and opened her heart and her home to many over the years and she will be sorely missed.
Dorothy will be laid to rest during a private graveside service on Friday, November 21, 2018 at Rosewood Funeral Home in Humble, TX.
