Warren Edwin Pierce
Warren Edwin Pierce was born on June 25, 1937 in Houston, TX. He passed away on November 9, 2018 in Splendora, TX. He was married to the love of his life, Bonnie Pierce on December 30, 1995. They were happily married for 22 years. He is survived by his loving wife Bonnie Pierce; daughter Pamela Parker; granddaughters Jennifer and Christan Harwell and great-grandchildren Michael Krafft Jr. and Cadence Krafft. He is survived by two brothers, many cousins and numerous nieces and nephews. He is also survived by six loving fur-babies; dogs: Harley, Bodacious and Cocoa; cats: Jack, Zoey and Precious. He is preceded in death by his parents Warren “Red” Cecil and Virginia Sample Pierce; brother Joe Ed Pierce; son Warren Wesley Pierce; grandparents and numerous other relatives. Warren was an active member of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. He was a committeeman and active fundraiser for the Humble/Kingwood Go Texan committee. He was best known as “The Kandyman” from participating in BBQ competitions for more than 30 years. He was an avid reader, often having as many as 5 books around him. One of his fondest memories was meeting Clive Cussler, one of his favorite authors. Warren was part of the first graduating class of Mary B. Smiley High School in 1955 and attended one year at University of Houston. He was a union carpenter for over 40 years out of Local 551 of Houston, TX. He was an executive secretary for the Union and became an elected member of International. Warren served in the Army for 3 years, from 1956 – 1959, then served in the Army Corps Reserves until 1962. He enjoyed his time spent in Germany and being able to travel Europe. Warren was one-of-a-kind. He had a huge loving heart, and was generous with his time and care. He never met a stranger and always had a story to tell. He knew everyone. He loved animals and children. He will be missed and the hole he left will never be filled. We will carry all the stories and memories in our hearts.
