Jane Delano Kelly was born August 23rd 1934 in Berea, Virginia near Fredericksburg. Young Jane married Gerald Davis and moved to Texas from Virginia around 1959. She traveled by train with her two small children to join her husband whose family lived in Abilene. Their third child was born a few years later in Abilene, They moved around several times and finally settled in Houston around 1964. Jane tried to live her life with fun and enthusiasm. Even though she didn't finish high school, she was a very smart and resourceful person. She loved to read novels, learned to sew clothes and costumes for the girls and was a Girl Scout Leader. She cared for her girls by always making sure they looked their best and would take part time jobs to pay for special outfits and activities. She divorced Gereld Davis and became a single Mom for awhile. When the grandkids came along she indulged and pampered them and thoroughly enjoyed being with them.

Jane also worked for a moving company writing estimates for commercial business moves. She eventually started her own moving business and ran the business for many years. She also worked at Gallery Auctions for her daughter where she had various responsibilities and oversaw the concession area. She met Patrick Kelly at one of the auctions while working the snack bar. They hit it off immediately and have been together ever since.

In her later years, she developed Dementia, but that did not slow her down. She just kept going and found ways to help herself remember things. She dealt with this slow deteriation of her brain and memory for 20 years. The last three years were very difficult for her to manage. She was still functional, but things were getting very confusing for her. In 2017 their house was flooded by Hurricane Harvey and she was relocated to a Memory Care Facility while the house was repaired. Sadly she suffered a massive stroke before she could move back home.

Survived by her husband of thirty five years George Patrick Kelly, and sister Joann Saunders. Daughters Vikki Vines, Lawana Chumley and Lisa Matranga, Son-in-laws Sam Chumley and James Matranga. Grand children Mark Greenhaw and spouse Claudia, Jonathon Goodling and spouse Shawn, Anthony Matranga, Sarah Matranga Reed and spouse Jeffery. Great grandchildren are the twins Nick and Niles Greenhaw, Desiray Matranga, Avery Clack, Calvin Reed and Zander Matranga.
