René Jackson resident of Huffman, Texas went to be with Jesus, her Lord and Savior, on Mother’s Day May 13, 2018.
René was born March 11, 1968 in Lubbock, Texas, the daughter of Philip Kimmel and the late Kathy Kimmel Collins. She was the eldest of two girls. She was a fun loving and confident child who was loved and cherished by her parents and paternal grandparents. After high school, she was deeply disappointed to learn she would not be a mother. Because she could not have children she struggled to find her purpose as an adult. God granted her the grace to become a mother to all who needed her! René moved to Huffman and began to make friends, soon she regained her confidence and her footing. She went to work for Midwestern Services, Inc. as a receptionist and rose to become the President. She met & married her soul mate Ray Jackson together they created a welcoming and hospitable home. She welcomed children who needed a parent and a stable environment into her heart & home. She fulfilled the role as mom for seven children, DJ, Dakota, Braylee, Caleb, Jada, Christian & Destiny and simultaneously to numerous others who needed her.
René and Ray always welcomed friends, family, neighbors, and anyone else who needed them into their loving home, creating a great and loving group of people who cherished her and will miss her greatly! Rene was always ready to help, cooperate, and cheer others on, rejoicing in their triumphs.
