Condolence: It was an honor to be a part of your final class at Lone Star. I can't thank you enough for your guidance, helping me push my art to another level. I still have that 'd*mn ruler', as you called it. :)

Condolence: Mr. Baldwin did a few drawings for me. I had the pleasure to speak with him only a few times. I was just some guy he didn't know or never met but he never treated me that way, He would say call to chat anytime and made me feel like a friend. So to the Baldwin family I am sorry for loss. I am Happy to have those memories and those three drawings he did for me. I only now read of his passing.

Condolence: Only ONE Gerard Baldwin!!! I fondly think about working with him, his art exhibits, and the exhibits of his students' work at Lone Star College. The deep love and admiration of his students and friends always amazed. Many are his wonderful cartoons, paintings, writing and drawings. Most precious are the marks he made on the hearts of others. Illustrations of courage and creativity, and how to walk humbly and honestly towards others. My sincere condolences and much love to Francis and the Baldwin Family.

Condolence: Dear The Baldwin Family,
My sincere and deepest conforeces to the family and friends at this difficult time.
Mr Baldwin taught with us, drawing in particular, at the Lone Star College- Kingwood for many, many years. Over the decade, I had the privilege of teaching either in the next classroom where Mr. Baldwin was teaching or afternoon clas in the same classroom where he was teaching in CLB building.
One of the vivid memories I have of him was that he played music usually on the day one. The music he had his students listened to was not to entertain them but to have students draw lines responding to the rythm and/or expressive qualities of the sound.
Mr. Baldwin was gifted in many but the most impressive for me was the linear perspective instructions. He established the step by step system when followed, which will allow the drawn forms to become 3D. He then later on let the student colored the forms or treat the space in more of some imaginary place. His students followed him. If taken Drawing I, some took Drawing II with him.
Mr. Baldwin often commented many of his students' works by showing me, and said, "talented!"
He was very original, talented, and had a style!
He will be missed.
Thank you for the dedicated years of teaching and giving to our students.
Sincerely,
Mari Omori
