Obituary for Elaine Swank (Winborn)

Elaine Swank (Winborn)
Marguerite Elaine Swank age 84 went to heaven April 17, 2018 in Kingwood, Texas after her much loved heart failed. Born in Roff, Oklahoma she spent much of her early life in military camps with her U.S. Army father. After World War II she came to adulthood in Tulsa, Oklahoma where she worked for several oil companies including Shell Oil where she met and married her husband Jack in Midland, Texas.
Elaine was very active and served as an officer in the lady Washington Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution and had a great love for the Houston Museum of Natural Science where she was a master Docent for 25 years.
She is survived by Jack her husband of almost 59 years, her son John Swank, Daughter in Law Linda Swank, and granddaughters Lisa and Julie Swank. She was preceded in death by her Daughter Susan Swank and her parents Jack and Marguerite Winborn.
There will be a visitation Saturday April 21, 2018 from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm followed by graveside service at Rosewood Memorial Park, 2602 South Houston Avenue, Humble, Texas.
A Memorial Service and Reception to celebrate her life will be 10:00 am Saturday, April 28, 2018 at Kingwood United Methodist Church, 1799 Woodland Hills Dr. Kingwood Texas 77339.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, contributions will be made to Kingwood United Methodist Church Endowment Fund.
