Vivian Lee Guillory Uzee 62, of Porter, Texas passed away peacefully on March 29, 2018 in Regent Care Center in The Woodlands, Texas due to complications from dementia.
Born on April 10, 1955 in Orange, Texas she grew up in nearby Bridge City. Vivian attended Bridge City schools, graduating in 1973. During her youth, she learned to play the piano, was a member of the youth group at Winfree Baptist Church and enjoyed doing volunteer work for local charities. Vivian met Hal Uzee of Port Arthur in 1975 and began dating until they married in July of 1977. They lived in the Bridge City-Port Arthur area and had a son, Shaun in 1981. They moved to Humble, Texas in 1985 for a job re-location. Vivian went to work for Allstate Insurance as a claims processor in 1986. She took an early retirement for health reasons in 2012 after 26 years of service
Vivian was a sweet, fun loving person with plenty of Texas spunk. Even though she battled health issues most of her adult life, she never let it prevent her from leading a fulfilling life. Vacation trips, visiting family and friends, attending concerts and sporting events or working on home projects were some her favorite activities. For relaxation, she enjoyed reading or watching a movie with Hal and our dog Molly.
Survivors include her husband of 40 years, Hal Uzee of Porter, son Shaun Uzee also of Porter, brothers Donnie Guillory of Bridge City and Todd Guillory of Humble. In addition, there are numerous family members and friends that will miss her.
Vivian was preceded in death by her parents Donald and Betty Guillory of Bridge City, Texas.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00am on Tuesday April 3, 2018 at Rosewood Funeral Home located at 22271 Hwy 59 N in Porter,Texas.
