Condolences

Condolence From: David Maus
Condolence: Thinking of Uncle Buck on this anniversary of his passing. Fond memories of some fun evenings out at jazz clubs. He is sorely missed.

Condolence From: David Maus
Condolence: To my Burley cousins, My deepest sympathies to you all. Your Dad was a real icon in our family. Everything about him was bold and unabashed. We thought he was so rugged and maverick. Steer horns on his Lincoln. I remember he told me Texas was the land of opportunity where you could kick a rock and find ten dollars underneath. We all loved him. I was especially lucky he was my godfather. He was a great friend to my parents. Keep his memory strong. All the best, Dave Maus

Condolence From: Mary Pat Maus
Condolence: Buck: A true Texan (but still had that PA accent - sorry JB but it was true), "you said it like it was..", the rodeo, fajitas, tequila, longnecks, Patty's little brother who made her glow, his best friend and business partner (who always kept him line) was Bill, he introduced us to a different way of liv'in and lov'in country music, (not just from the Hatfield's and McCoy's) but from Willie, Wayland and the boys! You made me belly laugh & smile. I am so grateful to have met you and came to know you in my adult life. I met your lovely children. You made me (and all of the Maus') so very happy with your presence. JB, I know you were "two stepped" into heaven. Nothin' but "blue skies do you see..."
My sincerest condolences to the entire Burley family.

Condolence From: Diane Maus
Condolence: I remember visiting Buck in Austin with Aunt Joan, Cindy and Paula and we went to a Mexican restaurant. As he and I were coming, Buck said 'you know, I'm going to have to pinch the bum of our waitress; she'll expect it!' Then as we were ordering I actually caught him reaching for a bum and had to stop him! LOL Who is surprised?

Condolence: There are so many great memories of Uncle Buck. He was a wonderful and warm character. My Mom, his sister Patty, adored him. And he and my Dad, Uncle Bill, were best friends and business buds. He was so mad when my Dad passed away very quickly in 2010 that he made a vow to call Mom almost every day and he did so faithfully and visited in her in her last two years. Uncle Buck introduced our family to many joys and new traditions that we continue to embrace including country music (especially Willie Nelson, Tom T. Hall, Gary P. Nunn) the art of sipping tequila, and, of course, fajitas! Wonderful memories of a wonderful man. Warm wishes and deep condolences to the entire Burley family. Xoxo
