Obituary for Edgar "Wayne" Hyde

Edgar "Wayne" Hyde
Edgar “Wayne” Hyde born March 14, 1954, in Aransas Pass, Texas passed away surrounded by friends and family at home after a brief illness Wednesday, November 15th, 2017.
He was preceded in death by his father, Edgar Washington Hyde and by his mother, Laurice Weathers.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 22 years, Natalie Vassallo Hyde; step-daughter, Courtney E. Herrera and husband Danny; step-son, Ryan W. Balsam and wife Susan. His life was also made special by his brother, James Darrell Hyde and sisters, Rena Murray, Edith Roundtree, and Susan Flores.
Wayne had three beautiful grandchildren, Gianna Kate Herrera, Luca Evan Herrera, and Adeline Sophia Balsam.
Wayne was employed with Union Pacific Railroad for 40 plus years where he served as local Chairman and Railroad Engineer.
Wayne was an avid fisherman and atone time was a member of the Bass Club fishing in tournaments where he caught some prize fish. He also loved boating and kayaking at our lake property.
Wayne graduated from Galena Park where he played football, baseball, and was on the boxing team. He was offered football scholarships but chose to work on the Railroad after graduation.
Wayne had a special love for all animals especially those that were homeless, sick, or injured. He is also survived by his furry children his dogs, Saddie, Rocky, Max, and Zoe who would sit with him on the pier everyday we were at our lake home. He also had two special cats tiger and Shaddow.
In lieu of flowers, due to his special love of animals, please send donations to the new Houston SPCA no kill shelter.
Your last words to me was that I was the love of your life and my love, you are mine. Until we meet again.
