Obituary for Gene Bruce Cohn

Gene Bruce  Cohn
Gene Bruce Cohn, 73, passed away November 3, 2017 at his home in Houston, Texas. Gene was born June 24, 1944 in Houston, Texas to Edgar and Velma Cohn who precede him in death. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Edward "Buddy" Cohn and Edgar "Buzzy" Cohn Jr. and a son, James Wade Cohn. Gene is survived by his 3 children, Shawna Sletmoe, Micheal (Loretta) Cohn Sr., Bradley (Sanya) Cohn, brother Garland "Ray" (Lana) Cohn, sister Shiray Ann Andersson, Grandsons Justin Estes, Micheal Cohn Jr., Joseph McClendon, Andrew Cohn, Granddaughters Valerie Jackson, Erica McClendon, Micah Cohn, Taylor Cohn, Haley Cohn, Great Grandson Josiah Blanco, Nephews James Cohn, Bubba (Judy) Cohn, Berry McIntyre, Nieces Betty Colbert, Dianna Goodwin, Shirley Bufford, Tracy Smith, Tammie Cohn, Melissa (Benny) Brown, Kimberly (Darrell) Moore and numerous Great Nieces and Nephews. Gene's hobbies included hunting, fishing, old country music and watching old western movies. He worked in the oil and gas industry until his retirement around age 66, receiving numerous safety awards throughout the years. The Cohn family would like to extend their gratitude for everyone's compassion during this difficult time.
