Rev. John McDuff Jr.
John McDuff, born Nov. 29, 1928, entered heaven on Saturday, October 28, 2017 at 11:10pm at the age of 88 years and 11 months.
He is survived by his loving wife of sixty-six years, Vivian Inman McDuff, four children:
Son- John D. McDuff and wife, Cheryl
Son- Gary L. McDuff
Son- H. Kevin McDuff and wife Nicole
Daughter- Starla McDuff Bridges and husband Kendall Bridges
Two sisters:
Lois McDuff Hilderman
Martha McDuff Wheeler
Sixteen grandchildren, twenty-five great grandchildren, and a worldwide host of loving friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Mildred Carter Revils, his stepfather, James D. Revils, his father, Clifton B. McDuff, and two brothers, Colman McDuff and Roger McDuff.
Rev. John McDuff spent his entire adult life in ministry. He traveled as an evangelist for 20 years, then pastored Faith Assembly of God in Pasadena, TX for 20 years as well as singing all over the world with his two brothers known as “The McDuff Brothers.” He then became pastor emeritus at his home church, Faith Assembly, where he served until the day he entered heaven.
Only heaven knows the countless number of lives that God has transformed through the gospel preaching and ministry of John McDuff.
We will miss this amazing man, the light of our lives, but we rejoice knowing we will spend eternity together. It’s not “goodbye” it’s “I’ll see you later.”
John McDuff’s favorite scripture: Romans 12:1&2 (KJV) “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”
